Abstract
⺠We examined cinematographic films which were identified as being mouldy. ⺠The numbers of spores released when winding reels were counted, and common isolates identified. ⺠Gelatinase assays were performed on predominant isolates. ⺠Some film reels released fungal spores above levels considered 'safe'. ⺠A. versicolor was the most predominant isolate and had a high gelatinolytic activity.
