Abstract
⺠Two functional monomers are first used to treat wood for the improvement of wood decay resistance. ⺠The resulting polymer grafts onto wood matrix and fill up wood cell lumen. ⺠SEM and FTIR characterizations prove the chemical reaction between wood substance and monomers. ⺠The test results indicate the remarkable improvement of decay resistance of wood.
