Abstract
- Pyruvate kinase was purified and characterized from Raillietina echinobothrida.
- PEP exhibited differential kinetics at PK/PEPCK branch point of the parasite.
- PEP behaved as homotropic effector for PEPCK.
- Km of PEP for PK was found to be 77.8âµM.
- Genistein and daidzein inhibited PK and PEPCK in a non-competitive manner.
