Increased susceptibility to Strongyloides venezuelensis infection is related to the parasite load and absence of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules

- 3000 L3 C57BL/6 MHC II−/− infected mice are more susceptible to S. venezuelensis infection.
- C57BL/6 wild type (WT) mice are able to eliminate high and low levels of infection.
- MHC II is essential to S. venezuelensis control in high inoculum infection.
