Abstract
⺠Sand fly sampling was carried out from Al-madinah Al-munawarah. ⺠P. papatasi (1673 male and 1057 female), P. sergenti (109 male and 71 female). ⺠DNA band 650bp for L. major and 720bp for L. tropica. ⺠ITS1-PCR-RFLP = 200bp+57bp for L. tropica; 203bp+132bp specific for L. major.
