Abstract
⺠The cytotoxicity of cisplatin analogues was determined in Plasmodium falciparum. ⺠DNA-targeted Pt analogues were the most cytotoxic. ⺠Carboplatin and transplatin were weakly cytotoxic in P. falciparum. ⺠Cisplatin and analogues could form the basis for a new class of anti-malarial drugs.
