Abstract
⺠The cyclin TcCYC2 from Trypanosoma cruzi was characterized. ⺠TcCYC2 gene complemented G1-cyclin activity in yeast. ⺠Recombinant TcCYC2-HA expression shortened the cell cycle of T. cruzi epimastigotes. ⺠TcCYC2-HA expression altered duplication time and morphology of T. cruzi. ⺠TcCYC2-HA was expressed mainly in the cytoplasm of T. cruzi.
