Abstract
⺠Characterize the protein expression profiles between female and male adults of Angiostrongylus cantonensis. ⺠The up-regulated proteins in male adults were galectin-1, proteasome alpha subunit, peroxiredoxin and actin 2. ⺠The down-regulated proteins in male adults were galectin and indoleamine 2, 3 dioxygenase (IDO). ⺠In the infected rats, it was found that the female adults of A. cantonensis have a stronger ability to survive than male.
