Abstract
⺠Two cathepsin B-like peptidases from Echinococcus multilocularis metacestodes. ⺠Both peptidases were expressed in germinal layer, brood capsule, and protoscolex. ⺠Active peptidases were successfully produced by yeast Pichia pastoris. ⺠Recombinant enzymes degraded host proteins such as IgG and collagen.
