Abstract
⺠An in vitro culture system was optimized using Philophthalmus sp. rediae. ⺠Initial parameters tested were osmolality and concentration of chicken serum. ⺠Subsequent tests included three media bases and addition of vitamins and amino acids. ⺠The medium was successfully tested on six trematode spp. from five families.
