Abstract
⺠Radio-attenuated parasite as prophylactic agent for experimental murine visceral leishmaniasis. ⺠Nitric oxide & superoxide anion release in primed groups increased. ⺠Enhanced release of Th1 cytokines & down regulation of Th2 cytokines in immunized groups established. ⺠Spleen and liver of these mice are protected from parasite infection.
