Abstract
⺠Angiogenesis is paradoxically present during both formation and resolution of schistosomal granuloma. ⺠There is a potential beneficial effect of vascular proliferation in the process of healing. ⺠The recently postulated treatment of fibrosis by blocking angiogenesis should be reconsidered.
