Abstract
► Inflammatory reactions of Rhipicephalus microplus mimotopes were assessed on tick field-exposed cattle. ► The cutaneous hypersensitivity test indicated a pattern similar to immediate hypersensitivity. ► Delayed immune response was not detected as expected. ► The wild-type phage inoculation surprisingly induced a strong immediate response on its own. ► These findings should be considered as preliminary.
