Abstract
⺠Examined effects of acetyl-CoA carboxylase inhibitor haloxyfop on Trypanosoma brucei. ⺠Haloxyfop inhibited T. brucei acetyl-CoA carboxylase activity in vitro. ⺠Haloxyfop inhibited the growth of T. brucei in culture. ⺠Haloxyfop did not affect fatty acid elongation of T. brucei in culture. ⺠Haloxyfop likely has off-target effects on T. brucei.
