Abstract
⺠This study demonstrated the susceptibility of Rhipicephalus sanguineus nymphs to the fluazuron. ⺠The LD50 of R. sanguineus nymphs was estimated to be: LD50 = 19.544 mg/kg. ⺠The LD95 of R. sanguineus nymphs was estimated to be 100 mg/kg. ⺠The fluazuron may be used to control this tick in this stage of its biological cycle. ⺠The fluazuron inhibits the synthesis and/or deposition of chitin in the target organisms.
