Abstract
⺠Presence of Trichobilharzia regenti in nervous tissue led to influx of immune cells. ⺠Macrophages/microglia played the main role in destruction of the schistosomula. ⺠Migrating schistosomula caused axonal injury in the host CNS. ⺠Schistosomula feed on the nervous tissue components during their migration.
