Abstract
⺠Trypanosoma evansi is transmitted to the host and multiplies in the skin or mucosa. ⺠Stimulates the production of B cells and T cells. ⺠Progressively increases IFN-γ following the evolution of infection. ⺠Activates the macrophages and induces pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF, IL-1 and IL-6. ⺠Anemia development and immune response in rats infected with T. evansi.
