Abstract
⺠Immunization with plasmid DNA encoding Leishmania antigens represents a promising approach for vaccination against leishmaniasis. ⺠DNA immunization with VP22-amastin-EGFP induces high response in terms of IFN-gamma production and protection against infectious challenge in mice. ⺠Co-administration of VP22 and EGFP could be an effective strategy to augment antigen immunogencity.
