Abstract
⺠First comparison of diagnostic accuracy of 3 methods for A. caninum in dog faeces. ⺠FLOTAC revealed higher A. caninum egg counts than McMaster and flotation in tube. ⺠FLOTAC resulted in lowest coefficient of variance of A. caninum egg counts. ⺠Sodium chloride and sodium nitrate performed best for A. caninum diagnosis. ⺠Highest A. caninum egg counts were found in fresh or preserved (5% formalin) stool.
