Abstract
⺠Trypanosoma evansi is a hemoparasite of domestic and wild animals. ⺠Disease causes neurologic and locomotor signs in mammals. ⺠The nucleotides ATP, ADP and AMP are neurotransmitters and neuromodulators important. ⺠NTPDase and 5â²-nucleotidase control the concentration of nucleotides. ⺠Infection by T. evansi in rats alters the activity of these enzymes in brain.
