Abstract
Electron beam induced graft copolymerisation (EIGC) is a favourable method of modifying the properties of polymeric materials. Low energy electron beam equipment is well suited to initiate the grafting in and on the substrates. These may be in the form of beads, gels, fibres, fabrics, films and membranes. The graft copolymers can be used in the manufacturing of selective separation media as Dr Stephen C. Lapin of PCT Engineered Systems explains.
