Abstract
⺠The current nonequiliubrium range theory neglected precipitation heterogeneity. ⺠We examine how heterogeneous precipitation modifies the current theory. ⺠We used a published multi-agent model. ⺠We found that heterogeneous landscape and precipitation interacted. ⺠Wet-season range showed density-dependency contrary to the current theory.
