Abstract
⺠We related fire patterns with climate and land cover/use data. ⺠Burned area and fire quantity were linked with pre-fire effective precipitation. ⺠Fire season showed a delay in NE-SW direction according to spring beginning. ⺠Shrublands were the most affected cover by big size and long duration fires. ⺠Climate and land use/cover influenced the spatial and temporal patterns of fires.
