Abstract
⺠Shrubland biomass is estimated based on Pattern Water Use efficiency (PWUE) Model. ⺠PWUE is parameterized using Shrub cover and edge ratio data. ⺠Edge ratio: area of shrub patches' boundary zone divided by their total area. ⺠Shrublands biomass is given by multiplying PWUE by Mean Annual Precipitation. ⺠Allometric calculations applied on 10 close-range photos facilitated validation.
