Abstract
► S. quadricauda was selected that widely distributed in shallow lakes in China and possessed wide pH range (4-11). ► The biosorption of S. quadricauda to arsenite was related to pH and its concentration. ► The arsenite neutral species (H3AsO3) was more toxic to S. quadricauda than arsenite monoanionic species (H2AsO3-).
