Abstract
⺠The effects of vegetal cover and sea birds on soil greenhouse gases were evaluated. ⺠Birds and vegetation increased the soil methane uptake and nitrous oxide emission. ⺠Nitrous oxide was the main component of the global warming potential. ⺠Poor-drainage effect on soil gases fluxes was alleviated by its coarse texture.
