Abstract
												⺠Degradation rates appear to be the same for 17α- and 17β-estradiol in aerobic soils. ⺠Estrone is the primary metabolite formed from both isomers. ⺠Biotransformation is primary mechanism of oxidation. ⺠E2 residuals may persist longer than predicted assuming first order degradation.
