Abstract
► We estimated the amount of 137Cs in fungal sporocarps in terrestrial ecosystems. ►137Cs activity in fungi was highest among other aboveground vegetation. ► Ectomycorrhizal sporocarps have higher 137Cs values than saprotrophic. ► Fungal sporocarps comprised negligible amount of total 137Cs activity.
