Abstract
⺠Ambient air in an highly industrialized city in north of Italy was investigated. ⺠PCDD/Fs air levels were lower than those generally detected in urban areas. ⺠PCB levels were highest in the proximity of a chemical plant. ⺠PCB air levels are due to the volatilization of these pollutants from soils. ⺠PCA shows different sources as responsible of PCDD/F and PCB air concentration.
