Abstract
⺠Bio-risks of cobalt(II)-containing nanomaterial and its compounds were compared. ⺠Biomarkers of stress and exposure in freshwater bivalve mollusk were utilized. ⺠Genotoxicity and oxidative stress were common responses. ⺠Complexing prevented bio-toxic effects of separate compounds. ⺠Metallothionein was the main distinguishing biomarker of specific effect.
