Abstract
⺠Rhodobacter sphaeroides showed high remediation efficiency of Cd-contaminated soil. ⺠Phytoavailability of Cd decreased by R. sphaeroides. ⺠Cd speciation in soil changed dramatically - the exchangeable phases decreased. ⺠Remediation was carried out through the conversion of Cd to more stable forms.
