Abstract
⺠The toxicity of dissolved silver and silver nanoparticles was examined in rainbow trout. ⺠The bioavailability of hepatic silver was higher for dissolved silver than nanosilver. ⺠The toxicity of silver differed between dissolved and nanoparticles of silver. ⺠Nanosilver produced inflammation while silver disturbed the redox status and protein stability in the liver.
