Abstract
⺠Seabirds feeding on mesopelagic prey show greater OC levels than epipelagic consumers. ⺠OCs in seabirds are markedly greater in Mediterranean than in Atlantic populations. ⺠DDTs in some Macaronesian seabirds suggest recent DDT inputs from African countries.
