Abstract
⺠OCPs, mainly DDT and HCH, are still being used for vector control and agriculture in NE India. ⺠As DDTs and HCHs pollution is very high, local population exhibit high levels of these in human blood. ⺠OCPs levels were found higher in male population than female and in rural population as compared to urban. ⺠Total DDT and HCH in human blood were found to be positively associated with individual's age. ⺠Human blood levels are comparable to or even higher than reported in most of the nations.
