Abstract
⺠We studied the impact of species interactions on the responses of two microalgae to toxic exposure. ⺠Single- and multi-species bioassays were carried out. ⺠We assessed the cell growth and the cell viability with a flow cytometer. ⺠Sensitivity of Nitzschia Palea to a brominated flame retardant (TBBPA) significantly increased in multi-species bioassay. ⺠No significant differences were noticed between the two tests for Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata.
