Abstract
⺠We investigate the gills of a neotropical fish after atrazine exposure. ⺠Atrazine exposure inhibited the carbonic anhydrase activity. ⺠Na+/Clâ ratio did not change after atrazine exposure. ⺠Atrazine did not change Na+/K + -ATPase activity. ⺠Morphological gill cells responses maintained ionic homeostase.
