Abstract
⺠Triclosan, an antibacterial agent, is an environmental pollutant. ⺠Triclosan increases intracellular Zn2+ and decreases thiols in rat thymocytes. ⺠Negative correlation is found between them. ⺠Triclosan potentiates the cytotoxicity of H2O2. ⺠Triclosan may induce oxidative stress that leads to intracellular Zn2+ release.
