Degradation of 4-nonylphenol, 4-t-octylphenol, bisphenol A and triclosan following biosolids addition to soil under laboratory conditions

► All compounds showed some degradation following addition of biosolids to soil. ► 4-nonylphenol, 4-t-octylphenol and triclosan showed biphasic degradation. ► Recalcitrant fractions of the compounds ranged from 17% to 51%. ► Degradation of the compounds varied between the two biosolids treatments.
