Abstract
⺠In this study we evaluated the applicability of variety of GC columns for the separation of 136 PCDD/PCDF. ⺠Their relative performance data were compared to the “conventional” GC column and to each other. ⺠These data suggested that the development of a single GC column for the separation of all 2378-substituted isomers is feasible. ⺠Therefore such a column could be used as a standard tool for PCDD/PCDF methods globally. ⺠Having one specific column for PCDD/PCDF analysis will improve data quality, comparability, and lead to a cost efficient operation.
