Abstract
⺠We developed an SIA assay for the assessment of ionic liquid's effect on catalase. ⺠Seven ionic liquids presenting significant structural differences were tested IC50 values were calculated for all the tested compounds. ⺠Preferential inhibition of catalase by BF4-, pyrrolidinium and tetrabutylphosphonium. ⺠The methodology intends to be a screening test for the evaluation of ILs toxicity.
