Abstract
► Crude ethanolic seed extract of S. diffusum induced strong neurobehavioural toxicity against A. aegypti larvae. ► Extract exhibited a potent larvicidal effect. ► Seed extract induced high level of morphological deformities in larvae and pupae. ► It also showed strong molting disrupting effect on larvae. ► We conclude that S. diffusum is a promising candidate for the development of new botanical biopesticide.
