Abstract
► Snails were exposed to two environmental concentrations of chlorpyrifos for 14 days. ► Parameters of reproduction, B-esterases and gutathione S-transferase were studied. ► The insecticide induced a decrease in hatchings and survival of the offsprings. ► The most sensitivity biomarker was carboxylesterase activity with p-NFB as substrate. ► Subchronic exposure to chlorpyrifos could cause a decline in Planorbarius corneus.
