Abstract
⺠We measured lung function in healthy subjects. ⺠Subjects spent one week adjacent to a steel plant and then one week at a college campus. ⺠Lung function was lower near the steel plant. ⺠Being situated nearby a steel plant may acutely reduce lung function.
