Abstract
⺠Early exposure to PBDEs can be detrimental for neurodevelopment in children. ⺠Neurodevelopment and thyroid hormone levels were assessed at age 4 years. ⺠Postnatal levels increased the risk of attention deficit and social competence. ⺠Levels of thyroid hormones were not associated to PBDE 47 exposure. ⺠The effects were not modified by any other type of organochlorine compounds.
