Abstract
► Early exposure to PBDEs can be detrimental for neurodevelopment in children. ► Neurodevelopment and thyroid hormone levels were assessed at age 4 years. ► Postnatal levels increased the risk of attention deficit and social competence. ► Levels of thyroid hormones were not associated to PBDE 47 exposure. ► The effects were not modified by any other type of organochlorine compounds.
