Abstract
⺠The metabolism and mode of action of galaxolide has been investigated in sea bass. ⺠A hydroxylated metabolite was for the first time identified in fish bile. ⺠EROD and BCOD activities were not altered by galaxolide exposure. ⺠Galaxolide decreased moderately the synthesis of oxyandrogens in testes.
