Abstract
⺠Arsenite toxicity and uptake rate were investigated with intact rice plants. ⺠Arsenite toxicity threshold was 2.4 μM arsenite. ⺠Uptake rate was linearly related to arsenite concentration in the non-toxic range. ⺠Arsenite concentrations above 10.6 μM decreased arsenic content in plant matter. ⺠Arsenite impaired uptake of arsenite, water and Si, P, K, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn.
