Abstract
A mixed proton and electron conductor BaCe0.85Tb0.05Zr0.1O3âδ (BCTZ) has been developed by the partial substitution of Ce with Zr in BaCe0.95Tb0.05O3âδ (BCT) to improve the phase structure stability of BCT. The BCTZ membranes with asymmetric structure have been successfully prepared and evaluated for hydrogen separation. A stable hydrogen permeation flux has been found over 370 h operation. The improved stability recommends BCTZ for a potential application in the hydrogen separation.
