Abstract
⺠A. atacamensis and A. halimus resist high levels of arsenic in soils. ⺠A. halimus accumulated higher levels of arsenic than A. atacamensis. ⺠A atacamensis retains arsenic in the roots and A. halimus translocated it to leaves. ⺠Both species can be recommended to generate plant cover in As-contaminated soils.
