Abstract
► Mass transfer of Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) from e-waste to water and landfill leachate was measured. ► Analytical measurements were conducted by two independent laboratories. ► Temperature had limited influence in mass-transfer. ► Lower pH enhances mass transfer from e-waste to the aqueous phase. ► Dislodgement of fine dust from the surface of the e-waste particles may be taking place.
