Abstract
⺠We studied four hybrid poplar clones grown on a B-laden paper mill waste landfill. ⺠Poplar growth, trace element accumulation and root traits were investigated. ⺠Survival and growth were comparable to commercial plantations. ⺠Root growth was nearly unaffected by the contaminants. ⺠Adaption of the planting pattern could increase poplar performance.
